If you had 3 minutes on a loud speaker that would be heard by the whole world (or all Americans) what would you tell them about Borneo?
I learned from the natives of the Ulu that you must work together to survive.
How have your experiences in Borneo impacted your life outside of Borneo?
Borneo became a major part of my teaching career in High school and Jr. College.
What do you think people in the US who have never been to Borneo should know about it?
Very little other than there are headhunters and jungle.
What was the thing that was most surprising to you about Borneo?
How wonderful and supporting of each other the people are.
Who was the most memorable person you met in Borneo, why?
I had a Kenyan student and a Chinese student that I am still in contact with.
Do you have a story or experience you would like to share with us?
I took over 1,000 slides and have made a slide show that I have shown many times. I also have a diary in the national archives of my time spent with the natives doing malaria eradication work.
