Although Google collects a wealth of data on its users, we are provided with no information beyond general demographic statistics.

We use Mailchimp to reach our audience through monthly newsletters, event invitations and fundraising campaigns. We collect the name, email address and zip/post code and save this information in our Mailchimp lists. This is individual data hosted on the Mailchimp servers. Members of our mailing list have digital two step opt-in, with a “subscribe” button as well as Mailchimp’s automatic confirmation opt-in email. Consent is freely given and complies with the EU GDPR.

We never give or sell this information to any third parties.
Data for online donations include full name, address, billing address, phone number and email captured through the Acceptiva payment page. As a fiscally sponsored 501(c)(3), The Borneo Project is required to send a thank-you letter to each US based donor for their tax records.
