Images by Chun Xing

Chun’s love for the Bornean wildlife started when settled down in Tawau after travelling halfway across the globe from his birthplace in South America to this little town in Borneo. He fondly remembers the days when various kinds of wildlife could be found everyday around his house and school but the oil palm industry has left thousands of acres of plantation devoid of wildlife that were once common. Through Chun’s use of macro photography, he seeks to open eyes wider to the world around us to look for more unusual creatures that are hidden from plain sight and shares his images and experiences with the public to create awareness of the beautiful wildlife in Borneo that is worth protecting.
